EL VIOLINISTA DE DOONEY (THE FIDDLER OF DOONEY)

 

When I play on my fiddle in Dooney, Folk dance like a wave of the sea; My cousin is priest in Kilvarnet, My brother in Mocharabuiee.	Cuando toco mi violín en Dooney, La gente baila como una ola del mar; Mi primo es un cura en Kilvarnet, Mi hermano en Mocharabuiee.
I passed my brother and cousin: They read in their books of prayer; I read in my book of songs I bought at the Sligo fair.	Me crucé con mi hermano y mi primo: Leían sus libros de oraciones; Yo leía mi libro de canciones Que compré en la feria de Sligo.

And when the folk there spy me, They will all come up to me, With 'Here is the fiddler of Dooney!' And dance like a wave of the sea.	Y cuando la gente allí me vea, Vendrán todos hacia mí, Diciendo '¡Aquí está el violinista de Dooney!' Y bailarán como una ola del mar.
